Discover the South of France
from BANDOL and 'Les Balcons du Port'
The studio apartment, with terrace and teak deck overlooking the port, is in a small (10 apartments) high quality 'white Mediterranean seaside' style building. It faces due south and is set in a very quiet park like setting, yet still in the center of the village. It is an easy 4-5 minute walk to the port, market and shops, along a colorful village lane.
There's no need for a car (although it does have it's own private parking space), as the daily market, shops, port or beaches are within easy reach.
The apartment is open plan and is ideal for a couple. However, as the Murphy bed is in a 'sleeping alcove' and is mainly separated from the living area by the wall for the bath and WC, it can work for three to four people easily.
It comes equipped with:
 Stereo system ( CD, tape deck, radio )
 Good selection of english books
 Bed linen, towels & beach towels
 Fully equipped kitchen ( high end refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, electric hob, cooking utensils, service for 6, plates, glasses etc.)
 Telephone with answering machine – local calls, international with card, personalize your own message
 Patio table with 4 chairs and electric barbecue/grill
 ‘Murphy’ pull down double bed in sleeping alcove (very comfortable with high quality firm mattress), plus also very conformable convertible couch in living area.

 Optional 'femme de ménage' (cleaner) - you choose the frequency you need
 Terrace & teak deck , with all our colorful plants in 'Provençal' terracotta pots from 'Ravel' pottery in Aubagne.
The apartment is non smoking (except on terrace/deck) and no pets (there are plenty of our neighbors with cats and dogs who will always pass by to say hello).
It is 4-5 minutes walk to the port and is surrounded by beaches.
Bandol is a great place, even in the summer, although our favorite times are Spring and Fall. Our main problem so far is that all the guests leave deciding to sell up back wherever and move here. Maybe we should go into real estate………….
When you come to visit our flat in Bandol you'll have much more than a 'holiday let'. We have been here for 10 years now and so you will have a ready made network of people who will be more than delighted to help you.
A fully equipped village life complete with our close friends awaits you, if that is what you want. And, no matter what, you'll find more characters than in all of Peter Mayle's books!
But don't worry if you want to be just 'tout seul' and enjoy peace and quiet. That's easy to do too.
Bandol has a good selection of restaurants (over 50) and cafés to while away an evening over a lazy dinner on a terrace, or to just sit and watch the world go by sipping your aperitif. In the summer season many of the cafés have live music and afterwards there are all night clubs if you want to dance until dawn.
If you want to shop at the local daily market or shops, you can cook at home and have your meals on the terrace overlooking the sea view.
Also the 'Maison de Presse' has a good selection of newspapers in English and other languages.
5 minutes drive away, set in a vineyard, overlooking the sea, is a great golf resort with tennis and gym. And if you need a playing partner, we can point you in the right direction(and a close friend is a tennis couch). If you are a sports enthusiast there are other tennis courts plus plenty of other activities, including sailing, diving, hiking trails etc. A number of boat trips are available to neighboring islands and the calanques during the main seasons.
Bandol is known world wide for its many wineries which you can visit for a tasting, set in the hills behind the town, among which is the well known 'Domaine de Tempier'.
